Markos Miller

Associate Facilitator

Markos Miller is grounded in principles of inclusion and consensus and believes that groups can best achieve their goals collaboratively.

Markos initially trained as a facilitator in a therapeutic setting, working with criminal offenders. He has more than two decades of experience facilitating meetings, trainings, community forums, and strategic planning retreats. Over the years he has found these skills have broad applications in his diverse professional experiences. His work as a counselor honed his ability to listen deeply and ask questions to get to the heart of issues in a calming and respectful manner.

Markos’ expertise as a World Language and Culture educator provides a deep toolbox of innovative techniques and strategies to set agendas, engage participants, and enhance group communication. With experience living, working, and studying abroad Markos has a unique understanding of cross-cultural and multi-lingual communication that enriches his work with all groups. Markos strives to understand the array of stakeholder perspectives and finds joy in bringing his skills and talents to support collaborative decision making for the betterment of groups, organizations, and communities.

As a former small business owner and non-profit leader Markos understands the realities of a wide range of organizational structures, dynamics, and challenges. He has experience working with neighborhood groups, non-profit boards, and corporations. He has also helped municipal, regional, and state level governmental agencies with issues of organizational and community development. Markos enjoys working in a broad range of fields, including youth and education, cross-cultural communication, community development, transportation planning, coalition building, and non-profit governance.
